Accommodations

The interior of “Cilantro” is the standard Pacific Seacraft 37 interior forward and aft. Starting forward, the owner’s cabin has an offset double berth to starboard with a dressing seat to port, storage on shelves outboard on the port side with slated lockers, drawers and abundant storage under the berth. Ventilation is provided by two opening ports and a large Bomar hatch overhead.

The wet head with handheld shower is next aft to starboard. There is storage outboard and behind the toilet. The toilet discharges into a holding tank or directly overboard. The holding tank can itself be pumped overboard with its own dedicated pump. There is a teak floor over the fiberglass pan for use of the hot and cold shower. There’s an electric shower sump pump with overboard discharge. Teak seat hinged over the head/toilet.

The main salon is roomy and spacious with two settees that convert into excellent sea berths. The starboard “L” shaped settee can be converted to a 6’4″ by 4’2″ wide double berth. The port settee/berth is 6’6″ long and has storage both below and outboard. There is additional storage outboard above the settees.  There are no tanks under the settees so all this space is dedicated to storage. Starboard side has teak ceiling planks, teak lockers & bookshelf with removable fiddle above dinette, storage bins below. There’s a teak double drop leaf table with center storage and removable fiddles. Overhead on the port side is a teak loop handrail. Port side has teak magazine rack & storage bins above settee, storage bins below.

Aft of the salon and to port is a teak navigator’s desk with storage under lift top and above you’ll find VHF radio, AIS receiver, Magnum solar monitor, Victron readout, TriAnchor switch, Bilge switch, AC/DC panel, and Simrad Combi instrumentation. Aft of the nav desk is a comfortable 7′ long by 42″ wide quarterberth with fiberglass planking.

To starboard is a well-appointed “offshore” U-shaped galley. Amenities include gimbaled stainless steel propane stove with oven & broiler and girded with stainless steel safety bar; there’s a large ice box with poured foam insulation, hinged lid & hand operated ice box pump out to sink; the sink is a polished stainless steel double sink with electric pump to provide pressurized hot or cold fresh water with foot operated manual pump (fresh or salt H2O). There’s a macerator in the drain system. The countertop includes a built-in waste basket with laminated chopping block lid. A custom cabinet over the sinks provides access to glassware from both sides.

There are varnished teak and holly soles throughout, and the cabin overhead is finished with a foam backed vinyl liner with zippered access to thru-deck fasteners. Underneath the salon floor you’ll find Bronze thru-hull fittings with UL approved bronze seacocks, two water tanks with inspection ports, and pumps. There’s easy access to the freshwater manifold and water hoses are color-coded.
