Accommodations
The Leopard 38 offers an interior that strikes an ideal balance between practicality and comfort. Unlike many catamarans that favor stark fiberglass finishes and minimalist styling, the Leopard incorporates rich wood cabinetry and trim throughout, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels more like a traditional yacht than a floating condominium.
Large vertical windows surround the saloon, with two vertical opening hatches directly forward, filling the living space with natural light and providing excellent visibility and ventilation while underway or at anchor. The result is an open, airy interior that feels remarkably spacious for a vessel of this size.
Saloon & Galley
The galley-up configuration keeps the chef connected to the rest of the living space, making meal preparation a social experience rather than an isolated task. The practical U-shaped layout offers suitable counter space, abundant cabinetry, and secure footing while underway, making it equally adept for weekend cruising or extended voyages.
Adjacent to the galley, the comfortable dinette provides an ideal gathering place for meals, entertaining guests, or simply relaxing with panoramic views through the saloon windows. A large refrigerator/freezer unit offers substantial cold storage for extended time away from the dock, while the vessel’s electrical systems are conveniently monitored from the nearby control panel.
Accommodations
This Leopard 38 features a highly desirable four-cabin layout that provides exceptional flexibility for owners who enjoy cruising with family and friends. Each of the four private cabins is fitted with a comfortable double berth, storage lockers, and excellent natural ventilation, creating welcoming accommodations for overnight guests.
Additional single berths located in the forward bow compartments offer useful space for children, occasional guests, or extra storage, depending on the owner’s needs.
The thoughtful layout allows guests to enjoy privacy while still maintaining a comfortable and social atmosphere throughout the yacht.
Heads & Comfort
Each hull is equipped with its own dedicated “wet” head compartment, complete with marine toilet, vanity, sink, and shower. This arrangement provides convenient facilities for owners and guests while making efficient use of the available interior volume.
Storage is a standout feature throughout the vessel, and owners will appreciate the abundance of practical storage space. Lockers, cabinets, and dedicated stowage areas are integrated throughout the cabins, saloon, and galley, providing ample room for provisions, cruising gear, personal belongings, and water toys.

Deck
The Leopard 38 has earned a reputation as one of the most practical and capable cruising catamarans in its size range, combining efficient sailing performance with the comfort and livability that have made the Leopard brand a favorite among cruising sailors worldwide.
Built using vacuum-bagged, balsa-cored composite construction with solid fiberglass below the waterline, the Leopard 38 benefits from a strong yet lightweight structure that contributes to both performance and durability. Designed by renowned multihull architects Morrelli & Melvin, the hulls feature their distinctive stepped profile, creating narrow waterlines for improved efficiency and reduced drag while maximizing interior volume above the waterline.
Under sail, the Leopard 38 is known for its ability to maintain respectable cruising speeds with minimal effort, while the generous bridge deck clearance helps reduce the pounding and slamming often experienced aboard smaller catamarans when sailing into head seas. This translates into a smoother, more comfortable ride for crew and guests during extended passages.
Helm & Sail Handling
The raised starboard helm station provides excellent visibility in all directions, allowing the skipper to easily monitor sail trim, surrounding traffic, and the vessel’s course. All primary sail controls are conveniently led to the helm, making the yacht straightforward to operate whether sailing short-handed, as a couple, or even solo.
A powerful, fully-battened mainsail paired with an efficient overlapping genoa provides an excellent balance of performance and ease of handling. Fixed protective skegs offer additional peace of mind by helping shield both the sail drives and rudders during accidental groundings or encounters with shallow water.
The helm area itself is thoughtfully designed, featuring easy access from the cockpit and a comfortable two-person helm seat. Navigation instruments and sail controls are positioned within easy reach, allowing the helmsman to remain secure and in command while underway.
Cockpit & Outdoor Living
The spacious aft cockpit is designed as an extension of the interior living space and serves as the primary gathering area aboard. Comfortable seating surrounds a large dining table capable of accommodating up to eight guests, creating an ideal setting for alfresco meals, entertaining, or relaxing at anchor.
A large integrated cooler keeps refreshments close at hand, while the comfortable seating arrangement includes an adjustable backrest that can be positioned forward or aft, providing flexible seating configurations to suit any occasion.
Solar Arch & Dinghy Handling
Aft, robust stainless steel dinghy davits make launching, retrieving, and storing the tender simple and secure. Above the davits, a custom stainless steel arch supports an impressive 1,200 watts of solar panels, providing substantial renewable energy generation for extended off-grid cruising.
Beyond supplying power to the vessel’s systems and battery bank, the solar arch also creates valuable shade over the aft deck, enhancing comfort for crew and guests while at anchor or underway in warmer climates.
With its efficient hull design, comfortable sailing characteristics, spacious cockpit, and substantial solar capacity, this Leopard 38 is exceptionally well-equipped for coastal cruising, island hopping, or extended liveaboard adventures.
